Valerie rushes in…
Oil on Canvas 24 x 48 .75" gallery wrap framed
One of the Australian Mug Shot Series (see image). Valerie Lowe and her boyfriend Joseph Messenger were arrested in 1921 for breaking into an army warehouse and stealing boots and overcoats. They were arrested twice more over the next year. In 1923 Valerie was convicted of breaking B&E and stealing 40 pounds in money and jewelry. February 1922.
